dry out

乾かす(かわかす)	To desiccate something – beef jerky or leather. Also used about arid regions of the globe.

干す(ほす)	To hang out clothes to dry.

渇く(かわく)	Something which is normally, or ought to be, wet , becomes dry:My eyes are dry. 喉が渇いてる = I’m thirsty! (lit. ‘My throat is dry.’)
